BRAVE For the Unclaimed People

Bravery isn't something a person experiences. It is the compliment given by others, along with those that reflect courage and fearlessness. It's the subjective description, usually retrospectively, made by an observer or even a stranger. Bravery is not the experience of the individual (or group) referred to. The drive of the brave, triggered by events; experiences of seemingly insurmountable odds, is fear. Formerly known, through their public works, as 'Ly', LORE is the name chosen, upon being released from slavery at the age of 69 years old; not so much a name as a function. De Angeles was trafficked, as an infant, and experienced deplorable and untold abuse at the hands of the strangers, to whom they were sold, privately through the corporation of the catholic church (and for a lot of money), in the months following birth.

As a result of The National Apology, in 2013, by then Prime Minister of Australia Julia Gillard, de Angeles was able to set in place the process of their official recognition by both parents. They were aided in this by Ms Katrina Grace Kelly of CRIBMATES, and Adoption Reversal Austraia, as well as many others. Unfortunately, come the day of the official freedom-acknowledgment, through an Australian Supreme Court, both de Angeles' newly-found parents were dead. Through the selfless and seemingly-endless work of their colleague - adept of genealogy at www.thesignsofthetimes.com.au de Angeles has, however, had both matreilineal and patrilineal ancestral and cultural lineages traced. They are able, now, to provide a true and unbiased accounting to their offspring, and theirs. De Angeles experiences a constant form of synaesthesia: they see words as literal events/objects. They are, therefore, careful, not only of what is said, but also what is read and listened to, as all trigger responses not always intended by those with whom they communicate. De Angeles considers this anomaly to be three things: normal, a gift and a curse.

De Angeles lives with what is termed (caps intended, because it's an actual thing) High Functioning, Lifetime, Complex PTSD. They have been described as an overachiever, a description de Angeles considers impossibile.
