Oakland-based eco chef, food justice activist, and author of Vegan Soul Kitchen, Bryant Terry, reads and gives a cooking demonstration at Pegasus Downtown. Terry's unique cookbook includes soundtrack suggestions with each recipe, art and movie recommendations, as well as original poetry and music. Join us for a lively event.

Jack Boulware, author of Gimme Something Bettter, along with bands Schlong and Classics of Love

Admission: Free
Join us at 924 Gilman for Jack Boulware's Gimme Something Better: The Profound, Progressive, and Occasionally Pointless History of Bay Area Punk from Dead Kennedys to Gre. Also at this event, an Operation Ivy Reunion: East Bay Punk Bands Schlong and Classics of Love will play. Operation Ivy was an influential ska punk band formed in Albany, California. The band is well known as a pioneer of ska-core, a genre that fuses elements of harcore with ska punk. Former frontman Jesse Michaels will be playing with Classics of Love, and former drummer Dave Mello will be playing with Schlong.
